What Kind Of Tofu Should You Use?
To be honest, you can use any type of tofu for this Avocado Tofu Salad / 鱷梨豆腐 dish. However the preferred tofu to use is definitely going to be “Silken Tofu”. The reason for this is because silken tofu is silky, creamy and has the highest water content. It is also commonly used for many dessert type of dishes.
Which is why if you are going to be making this dish, we highly recommend you use “Silken Tofu”. It’ll make the dish taste much more flavorful.
But if you can’t find “Silken Tofu”, then you can also use other tofu’s like soft or firm tofu too.
An example of what silken tofu looks like is this picture:

Silken Tofu is pretty easy to find as the package is normally labeled as such.
What Is Tamari Soy Sauce?
Tamari Soy Sauce is a variety of soy sauce that is usually made with no wheat. It is commonly used in Japanese dishes as it provides much more flavor than the average soy sauce. It is also darker in color and tastes more balanced and less salty than the sometimes harsh bite of soy sauce, which makes it a perfect choice for dipping.
